Monotypes are original works of art using paper as the canvas, using ink as paint, printing either by hand rubbing or on a printing press, slowly layering the inks which creates depth and blending of colors. Vicki also uses a razor blade creating art that infuses Japanese paper into monotypes by a series of cuts, which allows her to weave monotypes. She also began stitching by hand and later by machine.
